Watch: ACI Massey Art Lecture on Oscar Cahén
Dr. Jaleen Grove and Dianna Symonds discuss the life and career of Oscar Cahén
Marking the release of ACI’s new online art book Oscar Cahén: Life & Work, Dr. Jaleen Grove, Scholar in Residence at the Cahén Archives in Toronto, visits Massey College to speak on the artistic polymath, revealing the harrowing circumstances of his early life and his escape from Nazi Europe. Grove is joined by Maclean’s Managing Editor Dianna Symonds, whose prolific involvement with Canadian magazines and newspapers makes her uniquely suited to discuss Cahén’s career as an established illustrator. Watch the lecture here and learn about one of Canada’s most talented and under-recognized artists.
