OCAD University Recognizes Achievements of Aboriginal Art Expert
ACI author wins Alumni Award for work as one of North America’s leading contemporary Aboriginal art experts
In celebration of the OCAD U’s 100th Graduate Exhibition, the university has honoured five accomplished alumni with the inaugural Alumni of Influence Award for his work in promoting Indigenous pedagogy and fostering cross-cultural understanding through art. Dr. Ryan is an Associate Professor at Carleton University where he was appointed New Sun Chair in 2001—the first university chair in Canada devoted to Aboriginal art and culture.
