Carr Comes Home
After four months in England the Emily Carr exhibition comes to Canada
Following its debut at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, From the Forest to the Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia returns from London to show at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Co-curated by art critic and ACI board of director Sarah Milroy, the exhibition brings Carr’s dedicated interest in the Pacific Northwest to life. Nearly 100 paintings, watercolours, and drawings are featured alongside the archival materials, paintings, and indigenous artifacts. You can read about Carr’s influence in Emily Carr: Life & Work, one of eleven free ACI online art books available to the public.
