Le vif intérêt international pour la pratique artistique de Michael Snow a engendré une longue liste d’expositions et de publications par plusieurs des principaux conservateurs et auteurs du domaine. Sans contredit, la voix qui fait autorité est celle de Snow : ses fines descriptions de son travail, ses conversations publiées avec des artistes et critiques, et ses essais sur la nature de la création artistique et sur la création d’une vie dans les arts.

Son œuvre influente a fait l’objet de films novateurs et d’enregistrements d’entrevues. Snow a également participé aux œuvres d’autres artistes, notamment la performance de Hollis Frampton, A Lecture, 1968, pour laquelle Frampton avait enregistré à l’avance Snow lisant le texte.
