Sarah Milroy appointed Chief Curator at the McMichael
The ACI Director joins the McMichael leadership team
Art critic, curator and essayist Sarah Milroy has been appointed chief curator at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Milroy is also a member of the ACI Board of Directors.
As a champion of Canadian art, Milroy has contributed to more than a dozen books, as well as serving as the chief art critic at The Globe and Mail from 2001 to 2011. Milroy has also co-curated three major international exhibitions on Canadian artists for the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London, England: From the Forest to the Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia (2014; and the Art Gallery of Ontario in 2015); Vanessa Bell (2016); and David Milne: Modern Painting (2018), which will also travel to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
